My year at GRI11 2.0

It was 12 o’clock and we were called out to the high championships the girls were up first and only amber Zara Nadia and Ivy could make the 1st jump (1m) and then on the second jump (1.5m) they struggled so much and only Nadia Amber and Zara could make it after several jumps then on the 3rd jump (1.10m) only amber could make it and only after several jumps.

It was finally the boys turn and it was 12:40 because the girls are bad at high jump we were starving but ya know how the saying goes desperate times cause for desperate measures. I was first up, it was the most nerve racking moment of my life the bar started on 1.8m I ran I jumped I... I... I made it. When everyone else on the right side the people ending up to go for the next jump were Terado, Brayden, and Myself. It was the left sides turn now no one could make it on the first jump then on the second jump still no one made it then on the last jump no one made it but wait cole made it nooo i thought to myself that this could be the the end then the bar was raised to 1.15m. Only Cole and I made the jump but Cole only did it on the second and I did it on the first jump. The bar was raised to 1.17m and neither of us could make it with the 3 jumps we were given so Mr healey called us and told me that I won because cole didn't do the last jump first go and I did. I didnt gloat because I'm a good sportsman but I was happy.

Cultural Festival

Hey whats up guys and girls on Wednesday the 16th November my classroom GRi11 2.0 will be hosting a cultural festival. This is because in my classroom we are learning about cultural diversity and we thought that if we did a cultural festival we would learn more about different cultures.

I will be making pizzas and selling them for $0.00. I'm selling them for nothing because the main purpose of the event is to teach other people about different countries and where food was originated. There will be more people than just me selling the food and there will be more than just pizza. There will be fried rice, stuffed  .To show people info about the of pizza we made a poster with a chunk of info on the history of pizza. I think that this festival will be a success and there will be a secret Kahoot.it. (Don't tell anyone about it though its a secret.) ;)

blog post challenge post 2

hey guys today is day two of the blog post challenge so here is some writing.

I was wondering in forest when I found this river filled with rubbish when i thought… hmm maybe there could be something valuable in here I could use but there might not be so I shall carry on walking. After about 10 minutes I found saw friendly folks in the distance and I thought they were some pretty cool dudes so I kept walking so that I could say hi to them. As I kept walking I noticed they had all these weapons like guns, knifes etc and they were running towards me and I instantly knew they were going to kill me so I started running but I tripped up on a tree root and then they caught up to me. they stabbed me shot me put bamboo in my fingernails and then they threw me into the river. At first I tried swimming back to shore but there was so much rubbish I couldn’t even move. After i realised I couldn’t move I tried climbing on top of the rubbish but I was beaten up so much I was too weak to climb on top so I had to think of something else to get me to shore and then I realised that I can swim under the rubbish so I did. First off I had to find the fastest and least polluted way because I only have a short breath. So I found out that west was the  best way to go so I dived down and swam west eventually I hit the shore, I climbed out of the river, went home, called the cops they found the people who nearly killed me and they got arrested.

Once upon a time there was a boy named Bob: Age : 32 years old. hobbies include running, swimming and, biking. lucky for him there’s a big running/biking track and a big pool of water for him to swim in right next to his city. Jobs include being a lifeguard and, a doctor.

One day Bob was swimming in the pool of water near his city and he had found a chick sitting on a rock being lonely so he went up to it so that he could make him feel less lonely but he didn’t  know that chick has an irrational fear of humans and that he would rather be lonely than in a group. So bob managed to get to the chick safely but when he tried to give it some love he fell over and got dirt in his mouth and the chick karate chopped his arm causing his arm to break so Bob had to go back to the city so that he could get to the hospital to get a cast on his arm.

When he was done in the hospital he had found out it wasn’t a bad fracture and that he would be back into normal routine very quickly so he was happy. When Bob got home he called animal control to kill the chick that broke his arm but instead of animal control killing the chick the chick killed them and then declared a fight against the guy whose arm he broke because usually his karate chop would kill a man but he only had a small fracture and the chick thought that if he becomes “friends” with him he could get stronger and he wanted to become stronger because he wanted to rule the world by destroying humanity. So Bob accepted his fight ,they fought for hours but no one could be a winner so now that chick and Bob are best friends plus the chick is no longer scared of humans and he is no longer planning to end humanity or is he...

Hi guys this is a haiku poem of my holidays that i wrote ( Definition of haiku poem. A traditional form of Japanese poetry.  Haiku poems consist of 3 lines.  The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables.  The lines don’t usually rhyme.)

Cinderfella whole school production (my role in it)

As we stand in our positions the curtain rises. We bust out some sweet moves and end in a robotic finish and with all the parents and guardians applauding we go to the back of the stage and the special guests are announced the Mccaws, the Swifts etc. When all of them are announced we boogie and sing to the song there's a party here tonight (insert link here) when all the people are done applauding our great dance moves the band plays a song and we come off.

my role in the production

As we stand in our position at the start of act 2 the curtain rises and music starts playing we start to get taken away by the music and do the best dance ever but we get about 2 or 3 minutes in and some kid changes the music goes to the front of the stage and starts singing and we decide to just go with the music and then it’s finally over and as we finish with the robot some girls come on stage and tell us how good we were and then the town crier announces the special. The Swifts, the Mccaws, the Winters, the Kardashians and ehrr ehrr oh yeah Cinderella. When all the special guests are announced we start boogying to the song there’s a party here tonight. After all the boogying is done the band play a song (Best day of my life) then we come off.

My Favourite Thing About Learning In GRI11 2.0

Hello my name Is Ruan I am a primary school student. In my primary school we have a double class called GRI11 meaning Gordon Robertson 10 11 and today I am telling you about my favourite thing about learning in it.

My favourite thing about learning in GR11 2.0 is the variety of learning spaces and being able to chose which one you work in which is cool and most classes only have one space to work in which is not fun because if you always work in the same space you won't have any trust and its boring because it never changes it always stays the same you don't get any more space. So I think that we are extremely lucky to have all this space and that all the other people that disrespect the teachers trust shouldn't because one day the teacher can take it all away.

Attention minecraft lord of the rings fans

Hello Minecraft peeps of the world, finally the moment has  arrived, we have a Minecraft modded Lord of the Rings server.

My friend and I are busy making a Minecraft Lord of the Rings modded server. There are 2 sides, good and evil. You will be forced to chose one of the 2 and you will be able to do quests to earn coins so that you can buy weapons or armour. 

If you choose good you mine blocks to expand Helm's Deep to make your defence better. If you choose evil you buy blocks and siege Helms Deep.

Badminton sports rotation writing

Hello peeps of the world today I am back telling you about our badminton sports rotation.

Most of the time Joonoh and anekka are the sports coaches and they are really good badminton players that's why they are always on badminton 

Firstly we start of with the warmup we do sprints to each end of the hall, we do chasses to each end of he hall, and we do sidesteps to each end of the hall. After that we get into groups of four and then group up with another group and do 2 vs 2 games and the winner is the first to five and every game we face someone different which is good because that way everyone gets to play and after we play all our games we go home. holiday talk

Hello peeps of the world I am back and today I will be telling you about my holiday 

First off I would like to say I was not doing anything interesting till the first Friday so I am going to skip to the first Friday of the Holidays

It was Friday the 22nd of April 2016. Yesterday my mate from Gizzy came to visit for a week.  All we did was go into town to watch a movie, go shopping and also play Pokemon. Oh yeah I almost forgot that we got the most amazing blessing. We were going to the Esplanade to play around and to have lunch when a lady from More FM gave us 2 tickets for Zootopia we also watched hunt for the wilder people and after we watched the movies my mate had to go home. Oh yeah also my Pokemon trainer box got stolen and that wraps up my holiday. Thank you for reading my blog post and I will see you next time.

Anzac Assembly

On Wednesday the 13th of April 2016 we had our Anzac assembly and this Anzac assembly was huge because we had the tv 3 news here, we had the mayor, and we had professor Glyn harper (the author of gladys go's to war) and it was also the book launch of Gladys go's to war. So that day was a big day for college street normal school.

Swimming sports championships my experience

Hello my name is Ruan and today I will be telling you about the championship swimming events that happened on 31/3/16.

The first event that happened was 50m freestyle boys than 50m freestyle girls there was about 20 people in this event and i was not in this event.

The second event was 50m backstroke boys then 50m backstroke girls I was in 50m backstroke boys but I was one of the last racers in this event but i still came second i could of came first but my legs were sore from kicking and i used to much energy on the first length that I couldn't keep up on the second length so I didn't come first i came second but I at least came second though so that's alright.


The third event was 50m breath-stroke Boys and Then 50m breath stroke girls, I was in breath stroke boys and the good thing is only 6 boys did breath-stroke  so everyone in breath stroke made it in to the final so the organiser said don't think of this as a trial think of this as training for the final and we said ok. I was in the first race for breath stroke sadly i came last but hey can't argue I at least made it to the final


The fourth event was 50m butterfly boys then 50m butterfly girls I was not in 50m butterfly boys because we were only allowed to enter two events.


The 5th and final event was 100m medley if you didnt know what this is it is butterfly, backstroke, breath stroke, and freestyle

favorite place to work

This is The hall of fame A.K.A my favourite place to work. The hall of fame is good because it has all of the mac books in the start of the morning and it has the imacs also the computer chargers another good thing is that it is also good because you can work under the counter and it is really cosy under the counter. The only bad thing about working in here is that you cannot hear the teachers when they make an announcement.

The hall of fame (My favourite place in the classroom)

The hall of fame is a cozy and easy place to work in because we have 4 imacs and the computer chargers so if your computer is flat you don't have to get up for 10 minutes just to get a computer charger. The only bad thing about being in the hall of fame is that you cant hear the teacher when they are making an announcement. So apart from not being able to hear the teacher when an announcement is being made the hall of fame is a really good place to work in.
